Audi Scheduled to Introduce Three Electric Models in the Near Future

August 26th, 2016 by

Electric cars have been making a serious impact over the past few years, and Audi plans on being among the premiere alternative energy vehicle manufacturers by the year 2020 by offering three new fully electric models. Furthermore, the German luxury automaker intends to derive 25-30% of their total sales from their fully electric models by 2025.

Constantly Innovating and Adapting

Audi Chief Executive Rupert Stadler said that the German luxury manufacturer will be moving funds from low-volume models like the two-door A3 hatchback to research alternative energy solutions and full electric models. Stadler claims that Audi would “rather invest the money that is freed up in new models and other derivatives.”

More innovations for the Future

Stadler also stated that fuel-cell and alternative energy models are something that need serious consideration and research to conserve natural resources. Furthermore, Audi plans on creating a subsidiary to develop fully autonomous vehicles “that may not even need a steering wheel or pedals.”

Even though this technology is currently in the development process, there are plenty of Audi models in our inventory at our dealership in Sylvania, OH that offer some of the most cutting-edge features on the market.
