2018 Mercedes-Benz X-Class Pickup Truck Could Debut at 2016 Paris Auto Show

When you envision Mercedes-Benz, you think of luxury cars and SUVs. Perhaps “pickup truck” is not the first term that pops into your head. Prepare to be amazed, as a prototype of the Mercedes-Benz X-Class 4×4 pickup truck could very well debut at the 2016 Paris Auto Show.

The Mercedes-Benz X-Class model will borrow its frames, axles, and body structure from the Nissan Navara, but will feature its own unique cabin and exterior design. Reports indicate it will come in three useful trim levels: a base model ideal for rugged work, a versatile mid-level trim package, and a top-of-the-line model complete with leather upholstery and an infotainment system with a high-resolution color screen.

The 7,700-lb. towing capacity on the Mercedes-Benz X-Class mid-sized pickup will make it formidable for getting work done, thanks to a six-cylinder turbodiesel engine capable of 255 HP and 406 lb.-ft. of torque. The Paris Auto Show may provide us an in-depth look, although there are no immediate plans to bring the X-Class mid-sized pickup truck to the U.S.
