Audi Plans to Release Electric Crossover and SUV Models | Toledo, OH

With release date plans for sometime in 2018, Audi will be offering the C-BEV SUV, previously presented only as a concept model and Q8 SUV with completely redesigned electric engines developed to provide drivers in and around the Toledo, OH area with an incredibly efficient vehicle that doesn’t sacrifice the performance you have come to expect from an Audi.

While only the Audi Q5 hybrid quattro® and A3 e-tron models in their current lineup are made with hybrid engines, the German auto manufacturer wants to throw their hat in the electric car ring and do their part to help the environment. Confirmed for production, the Audi Q8 SUV is reported to have a similar platform to the Q7 and will come with the same battery pack that the new Audi R8 e-tron has.

Also included in the plan to enter the electric motor world, the TT RS, RS5 coupe, RS3, a V6 R8 and an all-new A8 have all been reported as potential recipients of their incredibly efficient new electric motor.
